As personal trainers we know that a great workout can make a person feel better not only physically but mentally. In a recent 2013 study 53% of adults who exercise say they feel good about themselves after exercising; 35% say it puts them in a good mood and 32% say they always feel “less” stressed after a good workout.
Yet, despite these feelings of happiness, less stress, etc. researchers also found that up to 39% of Americans skipped exercise or physical activity when they were feeling stressed.
Next time you are stressed remember “exercise will make you feel better” and then start moving.
